Can you believe that artistic talents exist in a computer? The organic form of the plant-shaped silhouette in this work is painted by a computer drawing software, to which Wang Yuyang inputs the parameter sequences formed by binary numerals of 0 and 1 reinterpreted from the chosen text. The software then generates an image with the defined dimension, material, colours and structure to visualise the text through computer logic.

Does a computer know how to draw? These plant-shaped patterns are created by a computer drawing software, to which Wang Yuyang inputs the binary numerals of 0 and 1 transformed from a chosen text. The programme then ‘paints’ according to the dimension, material, colours and structure defined by the numerical data.
