Proteins are building blocks of all organisms on Earth, whose structures are invisible to the naked eye and can only be perceived through illustrations. Gregory Edwards creates an ethereal world encompassing the micro and the macro in his paintings where proteins and the Earth are depicted to capture nature in static images.

What are proteins? They are the building blocks of organisms on Earth whose structure is invisible to our eyes and can only be visualised by scientific illustrations. It is Gregory Edwards’ artistic intent to create paintings featuring proteins and the Earth to depict the natural world where micro and macro elements co-exist.
